Day 6

Grace Day

from the Names of God reading plan

1 Corinthians 8:5-6

BY She Reads Truth

Use this day to pray, rest, and reflect on this week’s reading, giving thanks for the grace that is ours in Christ.

For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth—as there are many “gods” and many “lords”— yet for us there is one God, the Father. All things are from him, and we exist for him. And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ. All things are through him, and we exist through him.
-1 Corinthians 8:5-6

We exist for him. I think that is such a strong statement and completely opposite of what we hear around us. I feel like I hear so much that we need exist for ourselves. But we give our whole selves to God who made us and loves us. We would not be without him.
