Day 21

Weekly Truth

from the Judges reading plan

Judges 2:16-17

BY She Reads Truth

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.

As we read Judges, we have been memorizing verses that illustrate the tragic cycle of rebellion in this book. This week’s verses are the next phases of the cycle.

The Lord raised up judges, who saved them from the power of their marauders, but they did not listen to their judges.
—Judges 2:16-17a

  1. Dorothy says:

Hallie I find it’s not what I say but I do that gets noticed. While I’m in my car or around my house I listen to Christian radio or audio books and the books I listen to are Christian authors – yes even Christian romance. I have a small book I keep at my bedside titled, “Bible Promise Book for Women Prayer Edition” in which I found (and also keep write on my mirror) “Loving God is more than lip service, it’s God-service.”

  2. Hallie Paine says:

Hey guys so this has been laid on my heart today. It feels like I’m the only one in my family that cares about the Lord and my little sister has been watching YouTube almost constantly and the things on there aren’t good for her to be watching. Is there any advice to sharing the gospel with my family?

    1. Faith says:

Hallie, I’m praying God gives you wisdom. Cling to him and his voice (we hear him best when we read his word). My advice is ask God to fill your mouth w his words and speak in love. Praying for you and your family tonight.

    2. Melanie says:

I love your heart to share the gospel! This is the most loving thing we can do, so this says a lot about what God is doing in your heart. Make prayer your biggest action eh regards to your family. Pray constantly for their hearts to be open and for the Spirit to give you wisdom as to when to speak and that He’ll give you the words to say. Listen first, both to the Spirit and to your family members as they share their hearts with you. God loves your family so much! Trust Him to work in their hearts and show them how much they need His salvation. Keep us posted on anything new and how we can best support you in prayer
