Day 28

Weekly Truth

from the John reading plan

John 1:5

BY She Reads Truth

Memorizing Scripture is one of the best ways to carry God-breathed truth, instruction, and reproof wherever we go.

Over the four weeks of this study, we have been memorizing the first five verses in John’s Gospel, pivotal words on the person and calling of Christ. This week we will memorize the final verse, a verse of great hope!

That light shines in the darkness,
yet the darkness did not overcome it.
—John 1:5

Write this verse down and post it on your mirror or at your desk, in your car or on the fridge—anywhere you’ll see it often. Save the image below as your phone’s lock screen so you can read these words of truth throughout the day.

We want to be a community that is intentional about Scripture memorization. Will you join us?4-John2017-4

I also thank God for this wonderful community of SRT women that I have found and have become a part of! Without you ladies, I don’t think that I would have gotten this far into my daily scripture reading plan! Thank you guys for always just being there for one another and showing how loving Jesus is!

This verse is perfect. I have been overwhelmed with anxiety of the future and the present. I thank God for She Reads Truth. It draws me back to Him and helps me keep my eyes on Him. Thank you.

This is a powerful verse that I need to remind myself that He is always there for us and will not let us overcome it on our own. I was having a rough week at work and I continously pray about it. I let go, let God and everything turn out better.
