Day 14

Weekly Truth

from the Joshua reading plan

Joshua 1:9

BY She Reads Truth

Memorizing Scripture is one of the best ways to carry God-breathed truth, instruction, and reproof wherever we go.  This week, we’re memorizing the key verse for the book of Joshua:

“Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous?
Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lᴏʀᴅ your God is with you wherever you go.”
—Joshua 1:9

Write this verse down and post it on your mirror or at your desk, in your car or on the fridge—anywhere you’ll see it often. Save the image below as your phone’s lock screen so you can read these words of truth throughout the day.

We want to be a community that is intentional about Scripture memorization. Will you join us?

That’s great, I never thought about Nostradamus while in the OR (Insights from Eugene Litvak at IHI) of that ranking before.

Today was an especially hard day, a day with lots of tears. But then the LORD gives us passages like this in His word. He tells us to be strong and never discouraged. SO comforting and amazing that He knows exactly when and what we need to read. Praise the LORD that even though this life is hard, the LORD is with us always!

It always helps me to imagine saying these commands to my son or daughter, leaning down, looking into their eyes, so I can feel the heart of God – his intentions. His reassurance is there. His presence is enough. My delight in the freedom of his love, my trust he is who he says he is and in his fatherly protection are all things I want my kids to believe about me. Except, he is perfect and the Holiest of Holies. How much more is his love for me.
