Take this day as an opportunity to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

“Look at the birds of the sky:
They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns,
yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Aren’t you worth more than they?”

God provides for His creation. He knows me and loves me. He has a plan for me. He says to cast my cares on Him because He cares for me. Sometimes His provision is different than I imagine, but that doesn’t make it bad. His way is infinitely better than anything I can imagine.

I needed this today!! I have been job searching for a while now and I need to remind myself that God will eventually provide me with a job at just the right time

I know this comment is very old now, but I hope and pray that life has turned out better than you could’ve imagined.

For the first time, as I’m reading this verse, I’m considering how birds also have to migrate to find food. Their food runs out, and they leave their home and travel many miles to find the Lord’s provision for them. I almost feel as though I’m in a “migration” season of my life. God seems to be telling me – no matter how hard I fight this divorce, becoming a single mom, selling my home, financial uncertainty – that he has something better for me and I need to let go and follow Him to His provision. The birds know they will be provided for during their journey and they know they will find nourishment when they arrive. Praying that courage and humility for myself.

    1. Adrienne says:

That is a lovely thought, Stacy. The idea of migration and that we can thrive in more place than one in our lives. Peace to you and your kid(s) during this difficult transition. He, God Almighty, will never abandon you and will comfort you. x

      Praying for you, too.

  5. Kayla says:

    Our father provides!
