Day 22

The Fourth Sunday of Advent

from the Advent 2015: Born Is The King reading plan

Isaiah 9:6-7

BY She Reads Truth

Text: Isaiah 9:6-7

One way we make room for the coming King is by storing His Word in our hearts. This fourth week of Advent, let’s memorize the final part of Isaiah 9:7 so we will have the full passage of Isaiah 9:6-7 memorized in its entirety by Christmas.

Save the lock screen below to your phone as a reminder throughout the week, praising the Lord Almighty for His justice and righteousness.

He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
will accomplish this.
– Isaiah 9:7b NIV

“He will establish and uphold it (the Kingdom) with justice and with righteousness from this time onward and forevermore.”

Even when I don’t see it or understand the justice the Lord gives, I must hold tightly to faith. The LORD has established it. I don’t have to understand. All I have to do is trust Him.

True. I think we sometimes can get stuck trying to understand things when what we really need to do is focus on the Lord and remember our hope and trust is in Him. He never said to try and figure out the world. But He did tell us to abide in Him. ❤️

I was mesmerized reaidng this. These words really stood out to me towards the end I think about how people don’t just turn into raging storms overnight. How there’s something there that secretly brews, from a time long before. People always say children are resilient, they’ll be ok about anything and everything but whatever the event is the effects do brew. Sometimes days, weeks, months or years before it comes out, but it will come out.Beautifully written!

I’ve seen so many rushed and chaotic hearts this week (working retail during the holidays, eek!) But this reminded me that there is no end to His Peace! We have the good news, the joy and hope of Christmas only found in Him. I want to share that every opportunity I can. It’s what we all crave and need. He can give us rest in the busy-ness, peace in the storm.

    1. Kylee says:

Juliet you must see so many harried hearts! Praying for you to be a beacon of God’s peace & grace to everyone you meet, praying the same for all my SRT sisters — what we have is hope the world so desperately needs! Love to you!

His Kingdom: He started it. He defines it. He maintains it. He fulfills it. For eternity. Because… He is zealous for it and for us. (wow!)

    1. Heidi says:
