Day 7

Weekly Truth

Isaiah 49:16

BY She Reads Truth

We believe memorizing scripture is one of the best ways to carry the Word of our God with us wherever we go—to have God-breathed truth, instruction and reproof in our hearts and minds as we live unto Him each day.

Today we’ve chosen a verse that reminds us God knows and cares for us intimately, in our joys and our sorrows. The “walls” here refer to the ruined walls of Jerusalem, making this a sweet promise that God sees us in every circumstance…

“Look, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me.”
–Isaiah 49:16, HCSB

Write this verse down—copy it twenty times if that helps! Post it on your mirror or at your desk, in your car or on the fridge—anywhere you’ll see it often. Save the image below as your phone’s lock screen so you can read these words of truth throughout the day.

We want to be a community that is intentional about scripture memorization. Will you join us?

Meditating on his words, specifically this scripture so that I can feel and know his love, not that I ever doubt it, but I’ve bee too distracted to feel it or to hear him or know him.

I was explaining this verse to my niece just yesterday, and I found myself saying, “Everyday, God looks at His hands and remembers us. This means, He will not forget us.” How could He if our names are on His hands? Thankful for how He does that–speaks truth and comforts us as we speak of Him to others. ❤️

This scripture really has oh so much meaning to it. This is a declaration of God’s everlasting and never changing unconditional love for his children. When he died for our sins we was nailed to a cross and by him saying the we are inscribed on his palms is just so beautiful. He says that our struggles(walls) are always before him. He knows what we face and he knows what we go through and he loves us no matter what. He’s a daddy that will never forget his children, so much so that he says we are always with him inscribed on his palms.❤️
