Esther 9-10, Revelation 16
Isn’t God amazing? Mordecai’s plan was to complete Satan’s plan of extinguishing the Jews… but God had other plans! Gods plan from the beginning of time – Jesus! Our Savior, born a Jew, and known as King of the Jews — for all time. Praise God we serve a living Savior!
Merry Christmas Sisters!
Praise God! And just adding that I’m sure you meant to say “Haman’s plan”.
Merry Christmas Eve!
I’ve been loving Esther! I see a parallel between the book of Esther and privilege! Privilege has been a topic of popular discussion, wether it is white privilege, privilege of beauty or what have you. In this case, Esther was privileged because of her beauty–she found herself in a position of nobility and used that privilege to save her people! So courageous!
And mordecai too became great and looked out for the welfare of the Jews!! I think about justice when I read this book
I don’t think she was privileged! She was a woman, she was basically sold into prostitution for a tyrant King! He ordered Haman’s plan to take effect – she was clever and she used her charms on a foolish man to get him to turn on another man (whose ideas he had originally approved of) and save her people. God was no doubt there ensuring that she changed his mind!
Appreciate both these views on Esther, ladies! I have been praying to understand her, as I pity Vashta and as the Christmas season focuses quite a bit on Mary too!
Hi Ladies, this is one of my favorites that I recommend…Queen Esther: One Night With The King
