weekly truth | week 8

from the weekly truth | week 8 reading plan

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

BY Kacia Hosmer

Hi ladies!

Have y’all started learning the Weekly Truth already?  We want to keep you on your toes, so Jessi gave y’all the verse that we’re memorizing together…. yesterday!

Yup.

We’re about consistent-inconsistency.

Just kidding.  Sort of.

We want to be women who are serious about reading His truth, yet?

We want to be women who can laugh and enjoy life: that people may say

Wow! Is she ever filled with joy!

So yes.  We’re trying not to take ourselves too seriously!

[thank you Missy for the image]

In case you missed the verse yesterday:

REJOICE ALWAYS. PRAY WITHOUT CEASING. GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES FOR THIS IS THE
WILL OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS FOR YOU.
1 THESSALONIANS  5:16-18 ESV

We also thought it would be fantabulous to give y’all links to some of the lock screens and desktop backgrounds that your sisters have created!

[if we missed you somehow, or you just made one, please leave a comment! We will continue to update these links!]

Hannnah created one for y’all here.

Megan created one for y’all here.

Tara created one for y’all here.

Mariel created one for y’all here.

Amanda created one for y’all here.

RunSingTeach created one for y’all here.

Julie created one for y’all here.

Isn’t this a beautiful picture of a body of believers, all with different talents, stepping up and doing their part?

We love you ladies!  We are right there in the trenches with you!  Let us encourage one another to learn what it means to truly PRAY [without ceasing]!

  1. Perfect verse for this series! I actually wrote down that this should be one of my memory verses. :-)

I don't really know how to make a lock-screen thing..but if I ever figure it out I will let y'all know haha!

Thank you for sharing this verse. I definitely needed to read that this morning. This is such a hard one for me to grasp, Idk if I am the only one – but I know that it shouldn't be we have A LOT to be thankful for and as for the praying – its just like talking to God constantly & giving thanks in ALL circumstances can be difficult and yet the Lord put His Son through some really difficult things to save us so that is what we have to be thankful for in ALL situations – thanks again.
