Judges: Day 6

Grace Day

by

Today's Text: Psalm 32:1-2

Each Saturday we’ll turn from the tragedy of Judges to the hope of the gospel in Psalm 32, a psalm about the joy of forgiveness. Use this day to pray, rest, and reflect on the hope that is ours because of God’s grace toward a rebellious people.

How joyful is the one
whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered!
How joyful is a person whom
the LORD does not charge with iniquity
and in whose spirit is no deceit!|
-Psalm 32:1-2

Please pray for me, and two of my sisters in Christ, Joanna, and Marilyn. Our church is experiencing turmoil, lack of unity, withholding forgiveness, judgment, gossip, etc. All the women involved are coming to a get-together, and we are praying for the Holy Spirit to move and restoration reigning. Thank you! May God be glorified in all!

The wounds from ‘friendly church fire’ cut deep. I’ve been there. Praying for a spirit of humility and unity at the gathering. May they remember that Christians are to be known for their love, not their bickering. May those who come with stones in their clenched fists, may they just drop them at their side. May healing and restoration and reconciliation be on every person’s mind.

The more I discover the depths of my wretchedness and sinfulness, the greater I find the love of God to be. His forgiveness and grace know no limits. Amazing! Overwhelming! Praise God!

I confess my sin when I read Psalm 51. I accept the gift of forgiveness when I read Psalm 32. A good way to start each day.

Jesus I surrender my human tendencies toward deceit and pride. I truly want to praise You and please you more than serve my flesh. I surrender insecurity, pride, gossip and doubt because I love You more. Thank You for paying my debt that You did not owe. I will not take that for granted this day. Be pleased and commune with me, I love you.
