Lent 2018: See the Lord's Salvation: Day 34

Grace Day

Today's Text: 2 Corinthians 3:17-18

Use today to pray, rest, and reflect on this week’s reading, giving thanks for the grace that is ours in Christ.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.
—2 Corinthians 3:17-18

Ahhhh freedom. So many have marched and fought, bled and died for it. Many continue to do so today. We view freedom as so valuable as to be an unalienable right. Yet we know freedom that is government regulated doesn’t hold a candle to freedom in Christ. In Christ I am set free from sin, darkness and death itself. I walk in His Light, His very Spirit within. No act of Congress can accomplish such freedom. No, not Congress but yes, the cross of Christ. Nothing but His blood. Grateful.
