A Prayer for the Fourth Sunday of Advent

Purify our conscience, Almighty God, by your daily visitation, that your Son Jesus Christ, at His coming, may find in us a mansion prepared for Himself; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

  • Merry Christmas everyone

  • Kelly, go straight to Bethlehem and see the baby lying in the manger. The tree, food, and presents are great but, you have already received the best present ever. And you are together with your husband. Be blesses both of you. Love in Christ, Susie

  • Anne with an E

Merry Christmas, Kelly. Praying for you and your husband. God bless you both.

  • Kelly Chataine

Spending Christmas Eve, Christmas and on at a rehab hospital with my husband. Trying not to feel sorry for myself. Trying not to focus on the fact that we have no tree, no lights, no baked goods and no presents. Trying to focus on the fact that Jesus died on the tree for us, that He is the only Light we need, the Word is the best food and we have His presence.

Sorry to hear this. But remember those good memories. And remember god will always be there to help you through this. Sometimes life can be defficult in a way that makes you say why me? But what always keeps me strong through hard times is the Lord! I will pray for you and your family. My name is Margie.

I work at a rehab hospital, and here I am sitting and eating my lunch feeling upset that I have to work. But your comment reminded me that there are other families spending their Christmas here too., thank you for shifting my perspective. I pray that you are overwhelmed with all of God’s gifts today, those that can’t come from anywhere else! He can meet us anywhere! Merry Christmas ❤️ peace, love, and joy. xo

KELLY, I’m praying for you right now. Christmas is very different for my family as well. I’m right there with you sister. Even though our situations are different, I totally understand. And like you, my focus is on the true meaning of Christmas and I’m so grateful that God provided for my children! Merry Christmas Kelly!

  • Oops I hit post before going back to correct. I meant to say that for some reason the last two days when I post and later on go back to read other comments my post is no longer there.

  • I know this is not song Porten, but the last two days I made a comment when I go back to read more comments my comments are not there anymorepp

  • Praying for your family and baby Zach on this Christmas Eve! Our God is good and the God of miracles, the great healer and physician!

  • Lord, may I always be available for your daily visitation. Only through your Holy Spirit, can my conscience be purified and my hope for your return renewed.

  • Lord, keep my mind and heart pure this day. I’m ready for your grace and renewal and joy. ♡

  • Praying over this small gift from the Father that his whole body, heart and organs are aligned with Gods word. Everything functioning as The Father designed them working in unison with His word. May the Lord bring Joy and Peace and Love to the entire family during this season of miracles. God bless you Zach.

  • Barbara Thompson

Praying for Zach and family that he is healed according to the word of God.

Purify my conscience. Yes. A clean slate to end one year and start another. Let confession and repentance lead to renewed commitment. Let me eagerly go to whom I need to say “I’m sorry. Will you forgive me?” And help me to forgive myself. Amen.

  • Happy Christmas Eve everyone!
I don’t normally comment but can I ask for prayers this morning. Can you pray for Zach, my friend’s nephew, please? He was born on Tuesday but is now seriously ill, in hospital awaiting heart surgery. There are also issues with other organs too. Please lift him, his parents, Lesley and Trevor and big brother Leo up in prayer. Much appreciated everyone!
