Grace Day

by

Today's Text: Psalm 71:14

Take this day as an opportunity to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

But I will hope continually
and will praise you more and more.

“Hope continually.” “Praise more and more.” And “pray without ceasing.” These three = a glorious combination for a Spirit-filled life!

“Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in everything; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-18‬ ‭a direct command from scripture that I’ve never made much of an effort to follow. Praying that God will help me to keep my heart focused on him.

  • “him” not “them” sorry my typo.

  • Sisters, I posted something couple of days ago that didn’t go through. But that’s OK I will repost at a later time. Right now, I could use all your prayers as today when my son gets back from our church summer camp, I have to give them some very difficult news.

Praying for your need and trusting our heavenly Father will see you through whatever this season is – and that he will give you the proper words to speak to your son. Praying your son hears your heart even more that your words.

    • Emily

Praying for your Mari, that God will give you the right words to say and the willingness of your heart to listen. Take courage, for He is with you. I pray that your son will know that he is loved and that you will be with him throughout this, and so will his Heavenly Father. With him, all things are possible.

Praying for your son and courage for what is going on. Praying as the Lord is near.

Hope is a beautiful thing. A solid belief that keeps us strong. Today’s my first day home after traveling to Ohio to say goodbye for now to my sister. It was so busy and I’m so tired that I’m not sure how what to do now.
Reading about hope and the when the role is called up yonder was perfect. It reminded me of the true hope we have that my sister is now experiencing for real. Praise God we are not a people without hope.

Karen, I am so sorry about your sister. Your SRT sisters are praying for you and your family. Our Great God will give you His peace and His comfort.

    • Karen, so glad you’re home and safe. Rest. If you need to cry, cry. Rest and remember that your sisters here at SRT are praying you. At my daddy’s funeral (9 years ago) I didn’t say goodbye instead I said “see you later”. So thankful that as believers we have that hope to one day first to see Jesus and then our loved ones.

Thanks SRT Sisters. I know the Lord is carrying through prayers. I’m excited to go to church today. Do you recall where my hope is found.

Karen from Virginia, I am originally from Ohio, living in Alabama now. I just got home from New Mexico where we said goodbye to my brother, for now, until we met again. I am right there with you my sister. Spent all night catching up. I am so very sorry for your loss. Sending lots of love, hugs, and most importantly, prayers.

  • I have enjoyed this series of hymnals many of which I had not known. I offer everyone this link to the lastest Old Church Choir by Zach Williams. It is sure to put some pep in your step today!
