Songs for the Road: The Psalms of Ascent: Day 14

Weekly Truth

Today's Text: Psalm 121:3-4

Memorizing Scripture is one of the best ways to carry God-breathed truth, instruction, and reproof wherever we go.

For this study of the Psalms of Ascent, we are memorizing the 121st psalm together, a few verses at a time. The second pair of verses remind us that God is always present and always protecting.

He will not allow your foot to slip;
your Protector will not slumber.
Indeed, the Protector of Israel
does not slumber or sleep.
- Psalm 121:3-4

  • Such a beautiful message and being reminded that God is always there. We don’t have to worry.

  • So comforting that MY protector does not sleep! Thank you Churchmouse for those beautiful words. My favorite line is “just because I’m not always aware doesn’t mean He’s not there”! Happy Mothers DAY to all my sisters here at SRT!

Always present. Always protecting. He is.
I can rest in quiet peace.
Just because I’m not always aware, doesn’t mean He’s not there.
    He is.
    Always present. Always protecting.
I can rest in quiet peace.
He is ever watchful. I will not stumble.
He is my Protector. There is no greater protection.
I can rest in quiet peace.
    Quiet.
    Peace.
    Ssshhhh.
