Today's Text: Song of Songs 8:6

Memorizing Scripture is one of the best ways to carry God-breathed truth, instruction, and reproof wherever we go.

For our study of Song of Songs we will memorize two consecutive verses from this book of the Bible. We begin this week with this verse on the power of love.

Set me as a seal on your heart,
as a seal on your arm.
For love is as strong as death;
ardent love is as unrelenting as Sheol.
Love’s flames are fiery flames—
the fiercest of all.
- Song of Songs 8:6

Punch out the memory card for this passage in the back of your book and place it somewhere you’ll see it often. As you memorize these verses, contemplate God’s rich gift of covenant love to His people.

We want to be a community that is intentional about Scripture memorization. Will you join us?

  • I need to get back into memorizing verses! So happy to be doing this again!

  • Caroline

Yes I will! Feeling so blessed to have been led to you by the glory of The Holy Spirit.

  • I am just going to have to say this has been my least favorite study of all and I have been around from before SheReadsTruth.com when they were on World Vision. I have really tried but just not there

    • Meredith Lea

It may not speak to you right now however, I’ve revisited topics I couldn’t quite “get on board with” later in the year and God spoke VOLUMES then. Wishing you the best. :)

I hope that have a love like that some day…

  • Just looked it up right now. Summing it up. Expressive intense desire or emotion. Intensively enthusiastic.

  • Was thinking same thing. Going to look it up.

  • Melody Suarez

    What does ardent love mean?

  • Thought of this song…
