Joshua: Day 21

Weekly Truth

by

Today's Text: Joshua 24:15

Memorizing Scripture is one of the best ways to carry God-breathed truth, instruction, and reproof wherever we go.  This week, we’re memorizing a beautiful verse of commitment:

But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
—Joshua 24:15

Write this verse down and post it on your mirror or at your desk, in your car or on the fridge—anywhere you’ll see it often. Save the image below as your phone’s lock screen so you can read these words of truth throughout the day.

We want to be a community that is intentional about Scripture memorization. Will you join us? 4-Joshua3

If you don’t mind saying a little prayer for my grandfather who is currently dieing from bone cancer. I really appreciate it.

Would you be so kind as to pray for my daughter Heather who is experiencing nearly constant nausea? She is 8 weeks pregnant. The same occurred when she was pregnant with her first – the nausea was continuous through her twelfth week. She knows the nausea is a good sign but also hard to do much of anything. Thank you for your prayers for her.

  • Good morning! Throughout this study I believe the Lord has been calling me to rest in Him. We get so busy with our daily lives, trying to get accomplished everything that’s got to be done, that we miss out on just resting in Him. Also for any prayer warriors out there I need a physical healing touch in relation to my lungs and struggling with an asthma flare-up. So thankful for these studies in God’s word and this community of sisters in Christ!

It is always hard to turn the last page of any SRT study. Grateful for the grace days and the weekly truth days which put the exclamation point on all I’ve studied through SRT. It is the desire of my heart for me and my house to serve the Lord. SRT, you give me the foundation stones to do just that. The selected Scriptures, the inspired devotions by such gifted writers and the insightful and honest comments by the community who gather here are such a blessing. You all give me pause each day: to go deeper in the Word and to reach out to others in His name. The SRT study guides are so appreciated by this lover of pen and paper. Each one is obviously lovingly put together. ( I’m having a love fest for all things SRT this morning, can you tell?!?) In a confusing and tumultuous world, I find Peace when I open my Bible and SRT each morning. I love this safe and sacred place. God bless you all. (I’ll meet you here tomorrow for The Beatitudes.)

Praise the Lord for this verse! Sisters, I desperately need prayer. My husband has an interview for a good job prospect on Monday. He got out of the Army this summer and has been terribly discouraged about finding work. I had a postpartum breakdown and had to leave my job in the mental health industry. Please please please pray on Monday that this position would work out of it’s God’s will. Bless you all.

Praying for Gods direction to be clear to you and your husband and for his provision for your family. May you be filled with His peace that surpasses all understanding as Monday approaches dear one.

Yes Megan! Praying right now (and will especially pray tomorrow) that favor would be given to your husband in the interview tomorrow. I pray that he would be calm and confident. I pray his response to questions would be clear and concise. I pray that you would be at peace at home while he is at the interview, knowing that God is at his side. I pray blessings on your family. And I thank you and your husband for your service to our country.

I am praying today as well. How awesome that this worldwide community of women to bring our sister to our Father and ask for His favor. I’m in agreement with these prayers and pray your husband will be provided with everything he needs for an excellent interview and will receive a wonderful offer.

    • Cecilia

Praying for you both this morning. Sending much love your way today
