Announcing: “Joshua: Coming Home to a Place You’ve Never Been”

We should start off by telling you there’s no way we can get thorough this post without referencing The Wizard of Oz, which, depending on your musical preferences, may be a welcome reference on a Wednesday morning. Otherwise, just pretend we never brought it up.

Here’s what we do know: Whether you click your heels to get there or not, there is one thing we can all agree on—there’s no place like home.

The children of Israel also longed for a place to call home as they marched on a forty-year journey through heat, hunger, and battle, searching for a spot to settle down and watch their children and grandchildren grow up healthy and happy. In our newest #SheReadsTruth community reading plan, we’ll explore the ways God fulfills His promises to finally bring Israel home.

Announcing “Joshua: Coming Home To a Place You’ve Never Been,” a 3-week reading plan beginning October 24.

Joshua is a book that swings from battles, spies, and miraculous river crossings, to the meticulous account of the division of land and the boundaries established for each of Israel’s 12 tribes. But when viewed as a whole, the arc of the book tells the beautiful and long-awaited story of God’s people taking possession of the land the Lord swore to Abraham about 450 years earlier. God loves to bring His people home.

The Joshua study book is one we’ve loved every inch of creating, from collecting pinecones in our backyards to drizzling honey on the front cover. And now comes our favorite part: showing you, our Shes, the final nature-inspired design!

Nice post. I discover something harder on diverse blogs everyday. Most commonly it is stimulating to read content off their writers and rehearse a specific thing at their store. I’d would rather apply certain with the content on my small weblog whether or not you don’t mind. Natually I’ll provide a link in your internet blog. Many thanks sharing.

  • When can I purchase the Joshua plan?

  • Hey there,
These books are so beautiful from what I can tell in the pictures. But, honest question, as beautiful as they are, for all y’all SRT sisters who typically purchase the book, is it worth purchasing since I could just read the Scriptures in my Bible?

  • I am just starting Joshua in my personal life and so happy that you guys will walk beside me too. Thank you for following His voice!

  • I love the She Reads Study Books! I am inspired to study God’s Word as I use your Resources! From the beauty of the scriptures to the the beauty of the pages, I get excited every morning to begin each day’s study. Thank you for the intentional thought and love put into every detail of these gorgeous Study Books.

Thank you so much for your beautiful designs, I love them so much!!!

  • If I purchase the book, do I still have to purchase the devotional in-app in order to read the rest of it and see comments?

    • She Reads Truth

Hi Taylor! Great question. The app plan and study book are separate purchases, but you’re welcome to follow along for free and see the comments at!

  • I am so excited for this study; Joshua is one of my favorite studies! Joshua 1:9 gets me through my darkest moments. Can not wait to start!

From a daily reader on a tight budget, I just want to say thank you so much for making the content of these studies available for free. The study guides you create look gorgeous and it is so much fun to open up a pretty book every morning. I’ve thought they would make great gifts too! However, I like many others surely, have very little discretionary spending at this point in my life, and it is a true blessing to be able to get all of the spiritual value from your studies without having to feel pressed to spend money I don’t have. I also have no excuse not to get into God’s Word! It is a gift! Thanks!

That makes two of us. I enjoy reading the daily email. Thank you so much for sharing grace.

I love the attention SRT gives to the Old Testament. It is so important! Without the OT, there wouldn’t be the NT. As in life, without the old, there wouldn’t be the new.

I love the beauty of the study guides! They complement the beauty of God’s Word. I so appreciate the creativity of the SRT team – especially because I can’t even handle a glue gun! You all are awesome!

  • Marla petersheim

    Looking forward to this!
