Galatians: Day 13

Weekly Truth

Today's Text: Galatians 2:21

We believe memorizing scripture is one of the best ways to carry the Word of our God with us wherever we go—to have God-breathed truth, instruction and reproof in our hearts and minds as we live unto Him each day.

This week we’ve chosen a needed reminder of God’s grace.

I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died for nothing.
– Galatians 2:21

  • I have studied Galatians a few times, but WOW, so so much fell into place for me doing this study. I have read and reread my notes from each day of this study, and wow, this truth is so freeing. Thank you ladies for presenting this book in such a wonderful way. I hate to admit that despite being a lifelong Christian, I haven’t been excited to study the Bible in a while. I’ve been “busy.” Awful, right? But this study made me excited to make time for it on a regular basis. It was my first SRT study but I’m so glad I bought a four-pack! On to another letter I go! Thank you!!!

  • Yesterday morning at church our pastor preached a sermon on when our "goodness" becomes badness (ha)
We who have been walking with the Lord for sometime are often liable to being deceived by our goodness. Our goodness separates us from God. Who needs God when you're good, right? What a dangerous place to be.

Lord, let me always remember your grace & see my goodness as you see it… nothing but filthy rags apart from You.

The word is everything to me!

  • Thank you, God!

  • Kasey Summers

Thankful to be saved by God’s grace!!

  • Such an eye opener…..

  • It’s been quite some time since I’ve commented though I have been actively studying with you ladies! It’s so encouraging to read your prayers, praises and learnings in the comments each day. Thank you all for sharing. Happy Lord’s day!

Thank you Father God for your grace . Enjoy your Sunday all

  • This was a blessing to me this morning and I love that it is the next verse from what was memorized last week!

  • As I started journaling this morning, my writing took a hard turn from thanksgiving and praise (from the 365 days of truth reading plan… Psalm 111) toward anger over something. After venting for a few lines, I realized this person is prone to sin, just as I´d confessed I was a few lines earlier, yet I was giving them the space and looking to them for approbation in things only God has jurisdiction over. God is the one who gets to tell me who I am. God is the one who gets to tell me what HE made me good at. God is the one who should be the root of my good works, not the need for earthly praise.

The Valley of Vision often crafts lines that bring these feelings from a right place of penitence to a soothing truth. Two in particular today:

"But Scripture teaches me that thy active will reveals a steadfast purpose on my behalf, and this quietens my soul, and makes me love thee." – Shortcomings

"May I always combine thy majesty with thy mercy, and connect thy goodness with thy greatness. Then shall my heart always rejoice in praises to thee."
    – Self-Noughtings

so thankful for SRT and this study! the epistles are some of my favorite books, but i've always had a difficult time with galatians. this study opened my heart to so much!

Thank you SRT for this study of Galatians. Looking forward to moving in to Ephesians tomorrow. Blessings to all who contribute so that we might grow to love our Lord even more. Much appreciated

I lived that way for so much of my life…not giving actual animal sacrifices, lol, but checking off boxes and trying to "please" God. Trying to GET GOOD to GET GOD. But that is not His plan!

So thankful for Grace! The veil has been torn in two and we can go boldly to the throne because Jesus gave His all. We are no longer bound by the Law, which was impossible to fulfill, but we are saved by Grace and faith in Jesus Christ.

May you all be blessed in your houses of worship today and many souls come to know Him. ♥

Amen sister . Thank God for His grace or I would be a mess . I too struggle with trying to be a "good girl" and please God , but thank God that the veil was torn and we can come to His feet .
      Enjoy your Sunday
