Take time today and this week to commit Colossians 1:17 to memory.

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. [NIV]

Tammy I know this was four months ago but I am praying for you today I also am struggling my best friend just died of cancer. it’s hard to understand how God is at work in all of this. I trust Him but it feels like He has been so quiet. Will need to ponder and pray in this verse and hope He answers in some way

This is what I needed today. If He holds the world together, my small problems are minimal. Worry and fear cannot stand in the presence of the truth of this verse.

This verse reminds me that God’s hand is in everything! I especially think of my son’s interest in science–he is 7 and is fascinated with all things from planets to cells…and praise God, he knows God is the source and sustainer of these things, too!

I believe that this verse is telling us that in order for anything to exist you must first make God a part of it.
